I'd probably let players who are notorious for rolling really bad to roll two sets of stats with that method just so they have a better safety-net. If you were to ask me why, I'm not sure if I could give you a good answer. Something about it just feels...weird...to me and I don't know why. That way, the lowest possible stat is a nine rather than a three, while the highest still ends up being an eighteen Zenohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05043936258336583997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6769499061942039691.post-68626941668268025382013-04-15T20:45:14.015-07:002013-04-15T20:45:14.015-07:00As a Dm I do 4 sets of rolls, and rerolls on all 1...As a Dm I do 4 sets of rolls, and rerolls on all 1s and 2s. That way you don't get 3s in your stats and such. I feel like that's too big a punishment, and is worse than arrow to the knee jokes for all adventurers.

That being said, I guess 6 isn't as god awful, so perhaps just a reroll on ones would work out great too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05379450575068871543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6769499061942039691.post-81003855550400600832013-04-15T19:33:10.956-07:002013-04-15T19:33:10.956-07:00That's definitely an interesting way of handli...That's definitely an interesting way of handling it. I believe the Pathfinder Core Rulebook has a similar method for ability score generation.
