Next time I'm at one of my local bookstores, I'll keep my eyes open for a Joe Abercrombie book and give one of them a read.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10319177216467599283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6769499061942039691.post-43039052481348240152013-02-19T03:37:08.808-08:002013-02-19T03:37:08.808-08:00I've been thinking on this subject myself a bi...I've been thinking on this subject myself a bit recently after falling in love once more with Joe Abercrombie's writing. he sets all his books in the same fantasy/medieval world, but the last three books have each had such a distinctive genre feel that you can almost forget that they're linked. Well, apart from some kick ass re-occuring characters.

The last three have been a revenge plot in the vein of Japanese revenge epics, a war story told over three days of brutal engagement, and most recently, a Western story of redemption. All great stuff and makes me want to bend some genres I write about myself.thesethingsthatiwritehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06983724061115538291noreply@blogger.com
